The final F-Score and basic input parameters can be found in the worksheet "Piotroski".

 The calculation is made from various other worksheets, which you can simply add or update from the Internet via copy & paste. Following I will explain the individual worksheets.

What’s included?

·       Worksheet "Piotroski"

Here you can enter the basic input parameters (in YELLOW) and on the left side you can see the individual points of the Piotroski F-Score (A1-E10) or the final score (E11).

In cell H2 the column number of the last, current year for the worksheet ""MSFinancials"" has to be entered. The count is from left to right beginning with 1. In columns H3 / H4 the last current years for the worksheets ""MSOperPerf"" / ""MS Balance Sheet"" have to be entered."

·       Worksheet "MSFinancials"

"Here the financial data from Morningstar is copied. Before the data is copied, the worksheet should always be deleted (the easiest way is to select the entire worksheet with the button in the upper left corner between 1 & A and then press delete).

The data from morningstar.com is taken from the ""Financials"" section - starting with ""Financials ..."" until the last entry in the last column (currently this is the 5-Yr Growth) and the last line (currently ""Average Shares Outstanding (Bil)"" everything is marked and then copied.

The whole thing is then inserted in the cell A1 - with the option ""match destination formatting"" - this insert option can be found in Excel at point ""Paste"" when you click on the small arrow. Then all the relevant data should have been copied."

·       Worksheet "MSOperPerf"

Here, the performance values ​from Morningstar in the section “Operating Performance” are copied. Before the data is copied, the worksheet should always be deleted (the easiest way is to select the entire worksheet with the button in the upper left corner between 1 & A and then press delete).

The data is taken from the “Operation Performance” section on morningstar.com - starting with ""Operating Performance ..."" until the last entry in the last column (currently this is the index) and the last line (currently ""Free Cash Flow / Net Income""). everything is selected and then copied. Everything is then inserted in cell A1 - with the option ""match destination formatting"" - this insert option can be found in Excel at the point ""Paste"" if you click on the small arrow.

Then all relevant data should have been copied to the worksheet."

·       Worksheet "MSBalanceSheet"

"Here the balance sheet data from Morningstar in the section “Balance Sheet” is copied. You can access this information via the item ""Financials"" and there at the bottom by clicking on ""All Financials Data"".

Before the data is copied, the worksheet should always be deleted (the easiest way is to select the entire worksheet with the button in the upper left corner between 1 & A and then press delete).

The data from morningstar.com will be copied using the export function. To do this, click on ""Export"" (top right) and save the CSV file on your computer. Then open with Excel this CSV file (in Excel with the menu item ""File"" - ""Open"" - choose the data format ""text files .prn .txt * .csv"" in the bottom right as data format - and then select the previously saved, exported CSV file). In the new appearing window (Text Import Wizard), leave the selection ""delimited"" and press ""Next"" - there as the delimiter choose ""comma"" and then press again ""Next"". Finally, click on ""Finish"". Then the exported data will be visible in a new Excel worksheet.

Now the data from the cell A1 to the last cell in the lower right corner is marked and then copied. Insert the data in our Piotroski Excel from cell A1 - with the option ""match destination formatting"" - this insert option can be found in Excel at the point ""Paste"" if you click on the small arrow down there.

Then all relevant data should have been copied to the worksheet."
